Another card for Tyrvain, this time we dive into a dark fantasy atmosphere. The fierce cynocephalus berserker became the new hero of my illustration. I strived to meticulously translate his appearance and the general mood of dread, staying true to the concept I developed over a long time. This character design is inspired by the traditional attire of an Ethiopian warrior, as this cynocephalus hails from the African continent.
In my opinion, such a creature makes for an ideal berserker, because Dog-headed creatures have always been famous for their ferocity and cruelty. While traditionally depicted with a dog or jackal head, I’ve taken some creative liberty with the cynocephalus’s features for this dark fantasy setting.
